Just What is Blogging?
A blog is basically a type of website that is easily updated.
Originally blogs were little more than online diaries, however advancing technologies have seen them grow into a form of website much more diverse than that of its origin.
Those who were keen bloggers began to expand and exploit the
capabilities and limits of the medium and also the technology that made
blogging possible. This in turn pushed the boundaries of the actual
term ‘blog’ and what it means.
Today we have photo blogs and also video blogs which are now common.
We also have what is defined as the corporate blog. Big business is using blogs to get in touch with the internet crowd. So we can see that as all these different entities are constantly
reshaping, expanding and exploiting the ‘blogosphere’, it is very
difficult to believe that the definition of what a ‘blog’ actually is
and what a ‘blog’ is not will ever remain static for very long.
